Mr Meade warned the world as we know it was set to end thanks to the arrival of the mythical Planet Nabiru or the second coming of Jesus Christ.

He argued by looking at astrological constellations appearing on November 23 last year it was possible to see correlations with the Bible’s Book of Revelation 12:1-2.

The passage signals the start of the rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The passage 12:1–2 reads: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the Sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.”

The theory sparked massive debate among scientists and enthusiast about whether there was any legitimacy to the claims.

Mr Meade has predicted the end of the world on numerous past occasions only to later change the date he expects the apocalypse to occur after being proven wrong.

With the latest apocalypse date from Mr Meade now upon us, the numerologist has once again delayed when he expects the end of the world.

He now predicts the rapture will occur between May and December, arguing that despite the fact “Nibiru is here”, the citing of the mystical planet only represents the start of the process of the world ending.

He said last week: “The Book of Revelation states that men will approach Armageddon on horseback.

“Nibiru is here and the earth will be prepared for the next event on its calendar.

“That’s all in the Book of Revelation, too.”

But the unavoidable end will come in the following months when Christ descends from the heavens during the Rapture, Mr Meade claimed.

During this apocalyptic event the souls of the righteous will supposedly ascend to heaven while the unworthy are banished to the pits of hell.

For once Mr Meade shied away from specifying a specific date and instead said it will happen between May and the end of the year.

But even when the Rapture occurs, it will not signify an immediate end of the world.

Instead it will be followed by the Tribulation – seven years of intense horror and suffering plaguing the surface of the planet.
